Alex Buchanan

Alex has worked in institutional equities and corporate finance since 1998. After 12 years in institutional equities (initially at JP Morgan Cazenove), he established an alternative financing group at Lazard before going on to build the alternative capital division (private equity advisory) at Mirabaud (a 200-year-old Swiss bank with $25bn of Assets under Management) in 2010. Since then he has focused on advising, lending to, and investing in private and UK businesses, and has published two books on finance. Alex has an MA in Classics from the University of Oxford.

Toby Howell

Toby has worked in investment banking since 1999. He began his career at UBS Warburg, before going on to establish the corporate finance division of Hichens Harrison & Co. In 2010 he moved to the private equity and alternative capital division at Mirabaud, and has since focused on advising, lending to, and investing in UK and private businesses. Toby has operational leadership experience in the British Army, is a graduate of Newcastle University and holds a post-graduate diploma in Corporate Finance and Accounting from the CISI.

Sanjay Mahtani

Sanjay has over 15 years’ experience as an investment banker at financial institutions including Credit Suisse and Citi’s Global Investment Bank (formerly Salomon Smith Barney). He has extensive experience in leading and executing transactions across the industrial, transport, energy, consumer and financial services sectors. Sanjay’s
expertise includes financial modelling, valuation, and credit analysis. Sanjay has an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.

Jack de la Beraudiere

Jack started his career in investment banking at Lazard in 2008 where he practised M&A and corporate finance advisory in the financial institutions sector covering debt and equity transactions across range of banking, lending and credit focused businesses. He has advanced financial modelling and corporate and credit analytical skills. In 2013, he founded a specialist credit provider to the jewellery industry. Jack grew up between London and Paris and graduated from EDHEC Business School.

Gideon Bernstein

Gideon joined Trevally in 2017 after graduating with a 2:1 in BSc Industrial Economics at the University of Nottingham. He has since achieved the CISI Certificate in Corporate Finance and the CISI Investment
Advice Diploma.

Jake Aldridge

Jake joined the business in 2023 after
working at Fairmountain Capital where he specialised in UK SME financing transactions. He has advanced financial modelling skills and is studying the CFA programme.

Neil Randall

Neil has 20 years’ experience in corporate credit underwriting with RBS, NatWest and Drummonds with specific expertise in evaluating complex commercial lending propositions.

Jolin Yang

Jolin is a financial accountant with previous experience from Hanson Asset Management and Henderson Rowe. She is member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), with a BSc (Hons) Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. She is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment with a diploma in Regulation and Compliance and a Level 1 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Jeremy Stephenson

Jeremy has been an SME banker and advisor since 2002, working at Noble & Co, Seymour Pierce, Cantor Fitzgerald Europe and was a Director of Marechale Capital Plc. Prior to the City, he was a commissioned officer in the British Army seeing active service. He is an accountancy graduate of Exeter University and is a Chartered Member of the CISI.
